Welcome to Starbase48, a Star Trek & Science Fiction Fan and Social Club. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Starbase48 website, forums, online services, and community features. By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Our Mission
Starbase48 exists to bring together fans of Star Trek, science fiction, fantasy, gaming, space exploration, and geek culture in a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community.

3. Community Standards
Everyone deserves a welcoming experience.
Users agree not to:

7. Fan Content & Intellectual Property
Starbase48 is an independent fan organization.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Paramount Global, CBS Studios, or any other copyright owner of the Star Trek franchise.
All trademarks, logos, titles, names, and copyrighted material related to Star Trek remain the property of their respective owners.
Fan-created content should:
- Respect applicable copyright laws
- Avoid commercial infringement
- Credit original creators whenever possible
Users may not upload material they do not have the right to share.
8. Merchandise
Official Starbase48 merchandise may be offered through approved vendors.
Members may not create or sell merchandise using the Starbase48 name or logo without written permission from Club leadership.
9. Event Participation
Participation in Club events is voluntary.
Members agree to:
- Follow venue rules
- Follow organizer instructions
- Respect other attendees
- Follow applicable laws
Starbase48 reserves the right to remove individuals whose behavior jeopardizes the safety or enjoyment of others.
10. Photography & Media
By attending public Starbase48 events, you acknowledge that photographs or video may be taken.
These images may be used for:
- Website galleries
- Social media
- Promotional materials
- Club newsletters
- Event recaps
If you prefer not to appear in published media, please notify an event organizer. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your request where practical.

Enforcement decisions are made by Club leadership or designated moderators.
16. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated as the Club grows.
A formal review will occur at least every five (5) years, consistent with the Club’s bylaws.
Updates may also be adopted earlier when approved by the Executive Board or membership as appropriate. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised whenever substantive changes are made.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Starbase48 is organized and operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
